What is Helichrysum?

Helichrysum originated from the the Mediterranean. The name Helichrysum was made from two Greek words which are helisso, which means to turn around, and Chrysos, which means gold. Helchrysum consists of 600 species of flowering plants in the sunflower family. Their leaves are oblong to lanceolate with a flat and pubescent on both sides. The base of the flower is often smooth, with fringed margin, or honey-combed. Helichrysum is commonly known for its exotic, spicy scent, many perfume makers use in their products.
